In the second season finale, while Cutter is left reeling from the revelation that Helen helped Leek capture creatures from anomalies, Leek releases a Silurian scorpion at a busy beach and tells Lester to back off or there will be creatures released throughout the UK.
Abby, Connor and Jenny face a hungry sabre-toothed cat while looking for Rex. In a bid to save them, Cutter tricks Leek into plugging his laptop into the mainframe - but this causes all the systems to fail as Connor had planted a virus. Connor, Abby and Jenny escape as the doors open - but so do the animals...
Cutter manages to destroy one of the neural clamps which short circuits all of the others and in so doing releases the future predators from Leek's control. As the creatures from the future turn on their former captor, Cutter takes his opportunity to escape but one team member is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice...

During his adventure in the Silurian period Cutter discovered conclusive evidence that someone has been following the team and spying on them. He has long suspected that someone on the team has a hidden agenda; his suspicions fall on either Claudia or Lester. set a trap to catch the traitor on the team. Helen enlisted Stephen's help. Connor was badly injured by future predator. Rex was missing.
當Cutter身處希留利亞紀時，他發現了有力證據，足以證明有人在跟蹤及暗中監視他們。Cutter一直懷疑在他們當中有人身負不可告人的任務，而他懷疑這個人是Claudia或Lester。因此，Cutter借機設下陷阱，希望找出那個出賣他們的人，到底Cutter會否成功？ |

Taylor, an eleven-year-old girl, and her dog are sent to get fish and chips, but she gets more than soggy batter when she sees an anomaly in a nearby alley. She enters it and finds a whole new world of rocky terrain, desert and twinkling stars. By the time the gang congregate at headquarters, however, the detector has crashed and they have no idea where the anomaly has formed, nor where Leek is.
As Cutter waits impatiently for Connor to fix the machine, Leek is at the site instructing heavily armed mercenaries to carry out some kind of secret mission. The men pass through the anomaly and see Taylor waving frantically at them. Cutter and the team finally reach the anomaly. They all jump as a dog leaps out of it – they realise the owner must be inside. Stephen and Cutter enter the Silurian world. It is now day and they are surrounded by huge sand dunes...
十一歲女孩Taylor和小狗前往購買食物時在小巷內發現一個異域入口。當Taylor和小狗探身進那個異域時，看見了一個與別不同的世界，亦遇上了驚險的事情。另邊廂，異域探測器突然顯示有異域出現，但當Cutter與隊員在總部集合時，探測器突然失效，令他們失去了異域的蹤影。Connor努力修復探測器，終成功找到異域所在。
Cutter與隊員看見Taylor的小狗從異域中走出來，因此相信小狗的主人仍在異域內。Stephen探頭進去看見Taylor，而則Connor確認出異域內的時空是屬於希留利亞紀。Stephen和Cutter走進那個希留利亞世界，經歷了一些不可思議的事情。 |

When a disco boat hosting a fancy dress party comes under attack from a killer shark, Cutter and the team realise they have a new underwater incursion. But a grisly discovery during the post-mortem suggests the creature may not have come from the past. The creature's secret weapon is a ferocious, giant proboscis that shoots from its jaws to trap its prey. Cutter has never seen anything like it and is convinced they are dealing with a species from the future.
On the other side of the city, a group of teenagers is playing basketball near a flooded drain. When one of the boys wanders too close, something snatches and drags him below ground. Cutter arrives and discovers the flooded drain leads directly to the canal where the disco boat was moored. It looks like a second shark may be at large and has swum up the drain.
Cutter drags Abby and Connor along to investigate but disaster strikes when they try playing the whale song back underwater to lure the creature – Abby is brutally snatched and disappears.
Cutter與隊員調查一宗正舉行派對的遊艇的遇襲事件。他們相信那是一宗來自水底怪物的侵襲。因為Cutter從未見過像這樣的生物，所以他認為那是來自未來的品種。與此同時，一名男孩在一個滿溢的排水管附近打籃球時被不明來歷的東西捉到地底去。
Cutter與隊員調查時發現那滿溢的排水管通向的運河，正是遇襲遊艇停泊之處。當他們追蹤那頭兇猛生物時卻失去了牠的蹤影，Cutter對此十分疑惑。到底是否同一頭怪物在生事？此外，種種證據令Cutter懷疑那怪物是一頭水陸兩棲的哺乳類動物。而當Cutter、Abby和Connor繼續調查時，Abby更被怪物捉走，下落不明，生死未卜！ |

A cocky young paintballer in a holiday adventure park is being stalked through the undergrowth. His screams echo through the wilderness as he is torn to shreds by a terrifying creature. Cutter and Connor unveil the new anomaly detector. Everything appears to be in working order, but the machine apparently fails at the first time of asking when reports come in of the new creature attack.
Cutter and the team arrive at the adventure park. Cutter comes to believe that the attack, although horrible, could be relatively conventional. The animal to blame could be a rogue big cat. As the team goes in search of the animal, Connor is left to look after the safety of the holiday-makers. He disgraces himself when he shoots the furry park mascot, thinking it is a real beast. Unbeknown to him, the real menace is lurking very nearby.
Cutter和Connor將他們成功發明的異物探測器展示，一切似乎運作正常；可是，不久一頭猛獸在一個渡假的冒險樂園內出沒，探測器卻沒有發揮效用，有人更被該猛獸撕成碎片而死。Cutter與隊員一同到樂園調查，起初Cutter以為可能是一隻兇殘的大貓行兇，可是他們後來發現那是一頭古代生物──具劍齒的大貓！Cutter後來發現這頭古代生物是很久以前來到這裡，多年來由人類飼養。 |

Cutter and the team are joined by a new PR guru, in the guise of Jenny Lewis. Sharp, cynical and witty, she almost immediately develops a sparky and adversarial relationship with Cutter. The fact that she looks every inch like Claudia Brown but has no recollection of her doppelganger, adds even more intrigue.
A gleaming new skyscraper in the centre of the city has quickly developed a reputation for teething problems in its electronics, so no one is surprised when smoke is spotted creeping out from the server room. On inspection, the janitor finds a thick layer of mist hugging the floor and a foul sulphurous smell – but no fire. Then something moves in the mist and he is suddenly yanked out of sight by a shadowy creature. The mist continues to spread...
新成員Jenny加入了Cutter的隊伍，卻幾乎立即與Cutter構成敵對關係。一頭巨大但虛無的怪獸在一幢位於市中心的新摩天大樓出現，令大樓內煙霧瀰漫，更有惡臭的硫磺氣味充斥大樓。大樓內的員工迅速疏散，但有部分正參與會議的行政人員以為這只是一場演習，沒有覺察他們快被煙霧包圍，故並沒有離開。Cutter與隊員來到摩天大樓，為拯救那些行政人員及消滅怪獸與時間競賽。 |

Cutter returns to the present, to find the team based at a futuristic-looking HQ called the ARC, Claudia wiped from everyone's memories and the oily Oliver Leek in her place. Meanwhile, another anomaly has opened and a raptor is loose in a local shopping mall.
第二季《史前逃龍》延續上季的故事，由過去重返現實的Cutter教授，驚覺周邊的人對他的助手Claudia全無印象，好像她不曾存在過一樣，這是由於他們的調查工作已徹底把歷史改寫的「後遺症」嗎？此外的改變，除了是Cutter的「新助手」變成了Oliver Leek，這個小組亦有了自己的基地之外，還有和Claudia似到十足十的新導師Jenny Lewis。此外Cutter更疑心團隊中有奸細…究竟Cutter可以怎樣扭轉局勢，將一切還原？
在首集故事中，奇異的巨型猛獸在一個購物中心出現，猛獸的足跡更殺到保齡球場及遊戲機中心…… |
