After a surprising turn of events, Hannah, a student from Fairbanks, Alaska, was unexpectedly eliminated after a weak performance during a runway challenge. The eliminations continued at the judging panel where Isis, a program assistant for a non-profit from Prince George's County, Maryland, was the fifth participant eliminated after a lackluster photo shoot, reducing the pool from 11 girls to 9.
The girls were instructed to meet at Lucky Strike bowling alley where they received a lesson on precision in runway walking. Met by runway expert J. Alexander, each girl rehearsed their runway walk in bowling heels down a slippery bowling lane. Later, the girls were off to an impromptu fashion show showcasing the designs of avant-garde fashion designer Jeremy Scott. The real surprise was that they would be blindfolded and elimination would be held immediately following the fashion show. The winner would receive an editorial shoot in Seventeen magazine. Joslyn impressed the judges with her walk while Hannah was criticized for “looking scared and nervous.” |
