The thought of human invisibility has intrigued man for centuries. Repeated in oral tradition and literature since ancient times, a highly gifted scientist Sebastian Caine develops a serum that induces complete invisibility. His remarkable transformation results in unimaginable power that seems to suffocate his sense of morality and leads to a furious and frightening conclusion.

Based on a true World War II story, Enemy at the Gates stars Jude Law as Russian sniper Vassili Zaitsev, who is killing dozens of Nazi soldiers in the ruined city of Stalingrad. In response, the Germans dispatch their top shot, Major Konig (Ed Harris), to exterminate Vassili. And that's when the action heats up, as director Jean-Jacques Annaud (Seven Years in Tibet) concocts a twisty duel to the death between two ace hunters.
電影根據史實將二次大戰一段最慘烈的戰役－德俄「史達林格勒之役」搬上銀幕。二次大戰期間，由於俄軍連場敗北，為了穩定軍心，政治部官員丹尼洛夫遂將祖迪羅飾演的俄國年青狙擊手精英華斯理塑造成為英雄人物，以安撫群眾。計劃相當成功，華斯理的英雄形象深入民心，受到群眾愛戴；丹尼洛夫卻因此眼紅，開始對華斯理產生嫉妒。加上華斯理與丹尼洛夫同時愛上女兵坦妮亞，令丹尼洛夫更妒恨華斯理。
《敵對邊緣》是由法國導演尚積葵亞諾執導，影片的製作非常龐大，戰場上的頽垣敗瓦宏偉而壯觀，氣勢磅礴，甚具史詩氣魄。影片開首的一場衝鋒陷陣更是異常淚型，足以媲美《雷霆救兵》的搶灘場面。 |
