太空艙「槍擊事件」後，安娜中槍死亡，Libby傷重昏迷，而米高亦中槍受傷。這深深刺擊了傑向「The Others」報復的決心，但作為醫生，他脫不了身，他必須照顧好病人。

米高突然回到眾人的營地，令傑更下定決心與「The others」作正面交鋒。幸得潔在旁勸阻，傑於是將米高回帶太空艙進行治療。可是當米高在太空艙內恢復意識並說出，「The others」不過是在虛張聲勢，還勸傑等人襲擊「The others」的營地。
Anna為對付Henry需槍械防身，於是往見梭也，梭也說要Anna付出代價，Anna二話不說，走向梭也……Hurley與Libby感情發展迅速，Hurley與Libby約定一個純潔的約會。但一切都會順利嗎？

自從傑與潔在太空艙附近的草地上，發現了一批空降的食物後，小島上的居民的生活水平開始變得豐盛，而且住在海灘上的居民也為自己建立起一個又一個的食物儲存庫。
但與此同時，露絲的丈夫Bernard卻認為小島上的居民可向空降食物的飛機求救，於是發起沙灘上的居民，到沙灘上以石頭砌起一個求救信號。可惜他並不知道，他的妻子露絲並不願意離開小島，因為小島上有著一股不可思議的力量，讓她本應得到絕症的身體。
