McKey, a student from Lake Forest, IL, was announced the winner of cycle 11 of the hit reality series “America's Next Top Model” during the finale last night. Samantha, a student from Woodland Hills, CA, was the first runner up; Analeigh, a student from Sacramento, CA, was the second runner up.
The three girls were immediately called to a CoverGirl commercial and photo shoot. To add to the pressure, their lines were in Dutch. Each girl struggled with convincing the judges but, it was Analeigh's commercial the judges felt was painful to watch as she continuously flubbed her lines. Analeigh was eliminated but left feeling she had given her “heart and soul”
Later, McKey and Samantha were sent to meet Ann Shoket, Editor-in-Chief of Seventeen Magazine where the girls were to shoot the cover of Seventeen. Shoket felt that both the girls did “outstanding.”
As the finalists prepared for their runway show, excitement and a bit of anxiety loomed when they viewed the long, rolling pink runway. McKey and Samantha walked alongside winners from past cycles from the United States as well as Holland.
At the final judging ceremony, the judges shared thoughts on the growth as well as strengths and weaknesses of both finalists. After viewing several past photos and taking into consideration each girl's performance in the fashion show, it was McKey who seized the title. |

| Marjorie Conrad: 19, student, originally from Marseilles, France who now lives in San Francisco, California became the latest eliminated from the 11th cycle of the hit series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool of 4 girls to 3.
The episode theme was based around the idea of facial expressions. First, Paulina gave them a lesson on how to use expressions as a means to sell a product. As their challenge, the girls were faced with acting out a 30-second commercial without words. The winner of the challenge would receive a $10,000 shopping spree to G-Star. Marjorie, usually nervous and awkward, found her niche with the commercial as she was the most believable and went on to win the challenge.
For their photo shoot, the girls were set amongst a backdrop of large windmills and given extreme looks. With wild makeup and hair, each girl battled for the best photo. The judges felt that Marjorie came off as boring and flat. Throughout the competition Marjorie has battled to rid herself of her awkwardness. After weeks of trying to get Marjorie to let go, the judges felt it was time for her to go and she was eliminated from the competition. |

| Elina Ivanova, born in Berdichieve, Ukraine and currently living in Seattle, Washington became the latest eliminated from the 11th cycle of the hit series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool of 5 girls to 4.
While in Amsterdam, the girls were met by Frederick Koster of Touche Models who gave them instructions for their go see. The girls were given a list of 5 designers and the critieria the designers would judge them on. They had 4 hours to try to meet and impress as many designers as possible. The winner of the challenge would receive $18,000 worth of designer merchandise. The girls were sent off on boats and left to make their way through town. Most of the girls frantically searched to find their way and were criticized by the designers for their flaws.
A photo shoot directed by Tyra was next for the girls. Her concept was to create a clean, pure look without makeup and a glam photo with lots of make-up and theatrics. Emphasis was placed on styling and form instead of color as the photos were taken in black and white. The judges felt that Elina was not inspirational and lacked that certain something. |
