Lauren Brie, a 20-year-old student from Charlottesville, Virginia, became the seventh girl eliminated from the 11th cycle of the hit series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool of 8 girls to 7.
The girls were sent to a dressing room where they were surprised by Tyra in a photo shoot directed by her. Wearing black dresses and heels, each had a turn to discover their signature pose. The photo shoot allowed each girl to take 10 frames, have Tyra critique their photos, then take 10 more. The winner of the challenge and a friend would receive a piece of diamond jewelry of their choice by Rafinity. While most of the girls were able to play off of their strengths or insecurities, Lauren Brie was uncertain of what her uniqueness was. Tyra coined Lauren Brie the “surfer chick.” Yet, after giving her a signature pose, Tyra still felt that Lauren Brie's poses seemed empty.
Later, the girls arrived at Los Angeles' historical Orpheum Theatre and were met by Jay Manuel and photographer Mike Rosenthal. In honor of Tyra's Fiercee Awards, for their photo shoot, the girls were assigned an embarrassing moment that could happen at an awards show. The aspiring models were styled to compliment the old Hollywood era. Lauren Brie was given “tripping on stairs” as her situation. While Jay Manuel felt she looked stunning, he also felt as if she resembled a mannequin falling. |

Clark, a 19 year-old student from Columbia, South Carolina became the sixth girl eliminated from the 11th cycle of the hit series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool of 9 girls to 8.
For their first lesson, the girls were sent to an abandoned warehouse where they were greeted by supermodel and ANTM judge, Paulina Porizkova dressed in an ill-fit ensemble. Their session highlighted the large role catalogue modeling plays through the course of a model's career. The girls were called to take a wardrobe of clothes that did not fit and make them presentable using water bottles, clips and miscellaneous supplies.
Later, the aspiring models were scared as they entered a set complete with strobe lights and a monster played by ANTM judge, Jay Manuel. The setting prepared the mood for their Los Angeles natural disasters themed photo shoot. The girls were given mod ‘60s style hair and makeup and each was assigned a natural disaster to portray in their pictures. Many girls found it difficult to let loose and embrace their character. Clark, in particular, struggled with this photo shoot. The judges felt as that Clark did not embody the definition of a blackout. |

After a surprising turn of events, Hannah, a student from Fairbanks, Alaska, was unexpectedly eliminated after a weak performance during a runway challenge. The eliminations continued at the judging panel where Isis, a program assistant for a non-profit from Prince George's County, Maryland, was the fifth participant eliminated after a lackluster photo shoot, reducing the pool from 11 girls to 9.
The girls were instructed to meet at Lucky Strike bowling alley where they received a lesson on precision in runway walking. Met by runway expert J. Alexander, each girl rehearsed their runway walk in bowling heels down a slippery bowling lane. Later, the girls were off to an impromptu fashion show showcasing the designs of avant-garde fashion designer Jeremy Scott. The real surprise was that they would be blindfolded and elimination would be held immediately following the fashion show. The winner would receive an editorial shoot in Seventeen magazine. Joslyn impressed the judges with her walk while Hannah was criticized for “looking scared and nervous.” |
